• While it is perfectly possible to have professional success without going to college, some people feel like they get discriminated against in the workplace because of their perceived lack of education. One employee found themselves in a difficult situation when his company suddenly decided that his pay should be reduced by $6 an hour because he didn't have a degree.

  What made this situation particularly confusing is that he had done this job for four years without any issue, and he had been hired with the knowledge that his highest academic qualification was a high school diploma. He felt that he was being treated in a way that was unfair, and sought out advice on how to tackle this problem.
